Weekend Fun

These are some fun things that I found this weekend =) I finally got to visit my covetted Halloween store and it's HUGE this year. They moved into a bigger building and, they also extended their hours Wed - Friday till 7PM so, I'll be able to make it over there after work with my hubby in tow.

Also, Rouses had pumpkins for sale this weekend =) I wanted to get one, because they are yellow pumpkins in unique and wonky shapes and sizes... but I'm not completely sure how long this yellow variety will last. It was just awesome to see them out all ready =) *The keys were for size compairson =)

Ground Breaker Base, Compliments of Dad =)

My Dad is awesome =) He really digs the fact that I'm so passionate about Halloween and always helps with ideas and construction or picture taking... basically, whatever I need. So, when my hubby, did not have the time to help me with my ground breaker base, Dad stepped in for his little girl. I'm so thankful to have such an awesome Dad =)

Price Hike Can Take A HIKE.

Went to Michael's today, since I'm running out of my favorite air-drying modeling clay, which I use on 90% of my Halloween projects. I had a 40% off coupon in hand, but much to my dismay, they raised the price of my clay by a dollar! So, instead of $6.50 it's not $7.50 for a package. Ridiculous.

I'm really annoyed. So, my new options are, A. Wait for a 50% off coupon, B. Look for another, cheaper clay or C. Curb my clay projects... =( UGH... why did they do this so close to Halloween?

* Just looked it up online... seems like Office Depot has it CHEAPER by $2.00. I'll check it out and if it's the same at the store... the Michael's stuff is going back.

Everlasting Candy Corn

TJMaxx had some new goodies on display today. This one in particular caught my eyes, so I bought it. I may buy more. $7.00 for 20 feet, doesn't seem like a bad deal to me for everlasting candy corn garland =) Someone on the Halloween Forum had some last year and I was so bummed that I hadn't seen it, while the Halloween merch was out. This year, I'm on top of things!

Stalking

My stalking has finally paid off. Marshalls had a few lovely Halloween surprises for me today. I wasn't even going to go, but I'm glad that I did.

Trickling

So, after my Halloween scouting trip this weekend, it seems that Halloween merchandise is hitting the shelves at a trickle. Ross only had two end caps with a few Halloween items and TJMAXX had one. I bought this cute little pumpkin with the witchy poo hat, for $5. There was random silver and magenta... yes, magenta, glitter, smeared in odd, thoughtless puddles on the hat. Needless to say, I brought it home and painted over the ridiculousness =)

The Halloween store that my dad had told me about is a Halloween Bootique. I don't know if that's a local thing, or a chain, but in anycase, I'm really excited that it's there =) I didn't see any of their goodies yet, but I'll keep checking back.

Tomorrow's Adventure

I'm off of work tomorrow, so I've planned a Halloween merchandise scouting trip with my mom. I hope that we are successful in finding things. Many of the stores around the area that I work, haven't even gotten the slightest hint of Halloween in them yet.

Also, to make things even more exciting, my dad spotted a Halloween store, in one of the empty building in the strip mall that I will be shopping in. I can't wait to see which store it will be.
