I don't recall if I've ever posted about this before, but after finding these pictures, I couldn't help posting. The picture above was taken in the abandoned Six Flags Theme Park in New Orleans East. It was devestated during Hurricane Katrina and never re-developed. It's been the subject of many curious photographers and the back drop for quite a few movies. Currently, the new "Jurassic Park World" will be filming there beginning this weekend. Check out the photo gallery and the article.
Abandon Six Flags New Orleans
Found this lovely lantern today at Michaels. I'm going to use it for everyday home decor, but it will probably have dual usage as Halloween prop. It's 60% right now, brining it to a whopping $10. I'm sure you guys could find some great uses for a gem like this! My first thought was for Jack, my grounds keeper, but it also looks like a great container for some strange plant or critter. Even some small skulls with moss and stuff. Who knows!!! If anyone else gets one, be sure to tell me how you plan on using it :)
Happy haunty shopping ;)
I've been a terrible blogger this year! It's all ready June and I've only made 2 posts! Bad Countess. But don't worry bloggy friends, I've been lurking around all of the lovely Halloween blogs, getting inspired and the Halloween itch is soon becoming one that I'll need to scratch. New Halloween projects will begin this month. Till then, I'll keep lurking around and trying to write blog posts when time permits. Halloween on! -Countess =D
