The Vine House

A haunting entryway dubbed, "The Vine House" here in Covington, La. Although it is called the vine house, it is acutally made up of snarly pine knots. It's out in plain view, right off of a two lane highway, but if you're not looking for it, you'd never know it was there.

Halloween Carols

I just discovered this wonderful individual's site the other day. Her music is hauntingly amazing and I plan on purchasing much of it for this year =) What really drew me to her site was the song, "Ghost of John". I remember singing this song in elementary school. The melody was/is so haunting, that is stuck with me all of these years. I'm so glad that Kristen added her own magic to it, by writing some new verses for it.

Let's give this lady lots of support. It seems that she has plans for many more wonderful songs!

Where to go?

My husband and I usually vacation in October and of course, we like to do something Halloween themed. For the past 3 years, we've gone to Disney World and attended Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, which is a BLAST.

This year, as much as I'll miss Disney, I'd like to try going somewhere new.

I've thought about visiting Edgar Allan Poe's grave in Baltimore and perhaps driving up to the Peddlers Village in PA to see their annual Scarecrow contest.

But what else? What are other good Halloweenish destinations that we could visit?

I'm very open to suggestions =)
