Milton got the rest of his bones this weekend and two coats of primer. Now I need to start the tedious task of creating his fingers. I used foil on Edgar, but I'm not so sure that I want to use that same method on Milton.
I've been doing some research on the authors that I'm naming my groundbreakers after. It helps me give them different personalities. Milton, I discovered, went blind before he died, so I thought about putting a blind fold type piece of tattered cloth over his eyes. I also found out that when a church was being constructed, his grave was disturbed. As the story goes, the men who realized that the grave was that of Milton's took some of his hair and almost all of his teeth as momentos. That gave me the creeps. So, I'll be giving him hair and also I'll be combing through his famous quotes to find something that will match his story. Something that gives that message that he's coming for those that disturbed his eternal rest. >=)
Looking good. I just love the pose. Looking forward to following his progress
