Where to go?

My husband and I usually vacation in October and of course, we like to do something Halloween themed. For the past 3 years, we've gone to Disney World and attended Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, which is a BLAST.

This year, as much as I'll miss Disney, I'd like to try going somewhere new.

I've thought about visiting Edgar Allan Poe's grave in Baltimore and perhaps driving up to the Peddlers Village in PA to see their annual Scarecrow contest.

But what else? What are other good Halloweenish destinations that we could visit?

I'm very open to suggestions =)

  1. I know it seems pretty obvious, but I have been to Salem Mass during October and it was awesome. There is plenty to do and the square is pretty well decked out for Halloween. Don't know if they still have it, but there is an old downtown hotel that throws a pretty cool party.
Another destination that I have been to is the Stanley Hotel in colorado,
    definetly worth it! Good Luck!

  2. Have not been to Salem (wish I had) but the Stanely Hotel - that is a great place. I imagine at Halloween time it is pretty cool.

    Cheers!
